Thank you to all who attended the Bike Safety program and thanks to Mr. Lex for teaching some valuable lessons on keeping safe on the roads!  Please see photo of the program with this article.

Please enjoy this book series review by one of our library patrons:

“Books in a Series -Have you ever read books that are in a series? Maybe you thought that if you read the first one, the rest of them would be boring since you would already know what was going to happen. Not so with the three books by Kathleen Fuller that center around the Birch Creek Amish - A Reluctant Bride, An Unbroken Heart, and A Love Made New. The books center around three sisters and how they cope with life as it enfolds. If you think that the Amish people are somehow very different than you are, here are a few of the areas encompassed in these books: the sudden death of parents, survivor’s guilt, alcoholism, fraud, physical and mental abuse, confession of a hit and run driver, a drug addict turned state’s evidence now in witness protection, hurt and forgiveness. Kathleen Fuller writes very descriptively but allows the reader to draw conclusions as he/she reads. She shows all the characters’ opinions and feelings towards situations making the reader see that there are many sides to what happens in life. I would recommend that you try these books - they are not hard to read and yet, they pull in the reader with the honest, open treatment of life no matter what your religious affiliations are.” -Nina Schmitz
