Oct 11, 2017 Library Newspaper Article for Eclipse

    There are still some spots available for the antiques appraisal event with Mark Moran on Monday, Oct. 16 from 5:30-8:30 pm.  Pre-registration is required in order to have your free, informal appraisal.  Call the library to reserve your spot!  House calls are available for items too large or fragile to transport.  $75/hour, no mileage fee if within 10 miles of Parkersburg. Contact Mark Moran at: 715-281-5060 or to schedule the house call. This program is funded through the Butler County Community Foundation grant.

   Guest Author, Joyce Knock, will be joining us during our early-out program for children in grades K-4 on Wednesday, October 18 at 1:00 pm.  All are welcomed to attend as Knock reads her books about bullying.

   October 24 is our next Trivia program, and this time it’s all things Star Wars!  Join us on Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 2:30-3:30 pm for a Star Wars trivia competition, snacks and prizes.  Individuals and teams of all ages are welcome, but Star Wars fans younger than age 8 need to be accompanied by an adult.

     Guest Author/Speaker/Wrestling Expert Mike Chapman will be at the library on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 11:00 am.  Chapman is retired from a 35 year newspaper career, author of 29 books and movie screenplays, founder of WIN magazine. He is a featured speaker at over 200 events, appearances on TV shows including ESPN, A&E, Fox Sports Iowa Public Television, Fox and Friends, guest on over 100 radio talk shows. Chapman has met and interviewed Ronald Reagan, Muhammad Ali, Robert Redford, and many other stars of movies and sports. He was named National Wrestling Writer of the Year five times, and is a member of eight halls of fame...and more! Please join us for this free program, funded by the Butler County Community Foundation Grant.
