Nov 22, 2017 Library Newspaper Article for Eclipse

 The library will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, for Thanksgiving Day. We are very thankful for all of our library patrons!

Upcoming fun:

Are there any Christmas movie buffs out there? Please join us for our next Trivia Day, with the Christmas Movies theme, on Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 3:30-4:30 pm.  All ages are welcome to attend, and prizes will be given to the team with the highest score! Light snack is provided; Children under age 8 need to attend with an adult. Please call the library with any questions at 319-346-2442.

The Christmas Open House at the library will be on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 4:30-6:30 pm.  At 5:00 pm, all are welcome to join Santa’s Elf as a story is read, and then enjoy frosting a sugar cookie…all compliments of the Parkersburg Chamber!  Enjoy some snacks, browse our Christmas books and movies, have some coffee or apple cider, and chat with the library staff!

Our final special program funded through the Butler County Community Foundation Grant is a Christmas Tea with historian, Kathy Wilson!  She will be joining us to share fun information about the Downton Abbey program, and the Friends of the Parkersburg Library will be serving the Christmas tea and goodies.  Please call the library to reserve your spot at this free event, which will be held on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 2:00 pm.  319-346-2442

New Non-Fiction:  The Complete DASH Diet for Beginners by Jennifer Koslo (Donated from the Grundy County Memorial Hospital Foundation.)
