New Brown Bag Book Club selection

Please join the Friends of the Parkersburg Library for their next book discussion. The upcoming book selected for the Nov. 10 Brown Bag Book Club will be Still Life by Louise Penny. This was a multiple award winner for mystery fiction.

Here is a brief summary: The residents of a tiny Canadian village called Three Pines are shocked when the body of Miss Jane Neal was found in the woods. Miss Neal, the village's retired schoolteacher and a talented amateur artist, had been a good friend to most of the community, which explained why her loss was greatly felt. At first, her death appears to be a tragic deer-hunting accident from a stray hunter's arrow. But some folks are suspicious and Chief Inspector Armand Gamache of the Montreal police force is called in to investigate. He and two team members soon find that the seemingly peaceful, friendly village hides dark secrets. The truth is both bizarre and shocking, even to the Gamache and his team.

Please stop in the library to obtain a copy of the book. All are welcome.
