Oct 25, 2017 Library Newspaper Article for Eclipse

A big thank you goes out to all who attended the Antiques Appraisal program with Mark Moran-what  an interesting variety of items and their histories!  Thanks also to the Friends of the Library who provided treats, and to the Butler County Community Foundation for awarding the grant that funded this program.

We also want to thank our guest author, Joyce Knock, for visiting us during our Early-Out after school program and reading her books about bullying.  She provided a great visual reminder-once the words/mean names are out of the mouth, they can’t be taken and put back in, just like toothpaste squeezed from a tube cannot be put back into the tube.  Mrs. Knock also gave each student a bracelet reminder to not be a bully.

Reminder:  Our next program is with wrestling expert, Mike Chapman, on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 11 am.   All are welcomed to join us! Please call the library with any questions at 319-346-2442.  This program has been made possible through the Butler County Community Foundation Grant.

New Fiction:  All She Left Behind by Jane Kirkpatrick,  Paper Butterflies by Lisa Heathfield, Trace by Archer Mayor, Holly and Ivy by Fern Michaels, Winter Solstice by Elin Hilderbrand, Merry and Bright by Debbie Macomber, Blind Spot by Dani Pettrey,  36 Questions That Changed My Mind About You by Vicki Grant.
