Nov 8, 2017 Library Newspaper Article for Eclipse

     A reminder for tonight! Author, Darcy Maulsby, will be here at 6:30 pm to do a book talk on the Culinary History of Iowa.   All are welcomed to attend this free event, and sample some treats from recipes in her book.  (This event is funded by the Butler County Community Foundation Grant.)

The Friends of the Library will have their Fall Pillow Cleaning Fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 11, in front of the library. Please see our website or call the library for more information at 319-346-2442.

Coming Soon:  Please save the date of Saturday, Nov. 18 at 11:00 am for a free puppet show with Lisa Laird’s ‘Pockets Full of Fun!’   Lisa Laird has been a puppeteer since 2000 and branched out into ventriloquism in 2005. She has received four Gold Awards from Creative Ministry Solutions and First Place in the Axtell Video Contest in 2013, and was one of the featured performers at the International Ventriloquist ConVENTion.  All are welcomed to attend this free event, made possible by the Butler County Community Foundation Grant.  Children under the age of 8 are welcomed to attend with an adult.
