June 21, 2017 Library Article for Eclipse

It was hammer time at the library last week. Mrs. Mindie came and taught us about hand tools, power tools, and construction safety at the Summer Reading Program.  We finished up the morning with some construction of our own…cement stepping stones!  Other activities included Lego blueprint painting, tower-building, and an architect matching game with pictures of famous landmarks. Special thanks to our wonderful volunteers, as well as all of the parents and caregivers and children who attended.  We have two special programs left, so it’s not too late to join us!  Check out the schedule on our website, call or stop in at the library with any questions.  We also have lots of photos of our activities on the website-click on the “Programs & Fun” tab.  Adults and teens…don’t forget that Summer Reading Program fun is not just for the younger ones, it’s for you, too!  Pick up your Book Bingo sheets, get two Bingos, and return it for a sweet treat.
